A lot of people are talking about getting other religions to perform ceremonies at sports events, and I would like to remind you:

The Church of Blasphuphmus (Not Jesus) was established in the early 90’s, has books and rites and rituals, and made Kiisu, Colin and myself officiants for any of their religious ceremonies, those that are written or specifically invented for the occasion.

I’d be happy to say my religious freedoms are being destroyed by the way we’re not represented at sports games. Just ask us to perform a ceremony for the public.

I dare you.

This is coming up very soon. I usually try to make myself a part of the NorCal NoiseFest every year, and this year is no exception. I’m on the compilation and providing video content this year, and everyone works pretty hard to make sure this event is unique, and FUN.

One way we do that is we try to actually PAY the artists, and provide cool merch and prize-packs for people who donate. You get unique music and art from people who are passionate about this event, and on the whole, everyone wins!

There’s some cool MIni-Mutations stuff in the prize packs if you donate, and certainly if you donate because I’m involved, I’ll put together a little prize-pack for you myself. (Just show me the receipt that says you donated, and I’ll pop something in the mail.)

Music and art are the only things that are keeping us going these days. It would be amazing to see this years fest become the stuff of legends. We usually try to put on the best possible event we can.

With your help, it’s even better.

Holy Crap! Judge John Hodgman has listened to Mini-Mutations, and has ruled on this release that I just put out via postcard!

I have to say, the best response I’ve ever gotten to a recording I’ve made.

And certainly the best response I’ve ever gotten from a minor television celebrity.

I’m pretty stoked. And: hey, do you want a postcard?

This one is Judge John Hodgman Approved!

Pretty much the only thing I care about in this world (that isn’t M or The Boys) is music, and when Salem lost it’s only record store, it was a major blow to life and culture in this town. This is a pretty excellent idea, and this would got a long way to helping get the culture in this town back on track. Even little contributions help, but certainly, it would be nice if someone I knew had deep pockets and loves risky ventures like retail businesses.

Either way: kick in some cash, after you’ve finished donating to a local activist group that’s working to restore women’s health care.

It’s been about 24-ish years since the three of us saw each other in person.

And at least 15 years since Justin and I have seen each other.

Devin and I reconnected several years ago, and we would often talk about getting the band back together. But distance just didn’t seem to make it possible… until now.

Every imaginable thing that could happen was happening this weekend. I had to cancel every plan, cut every engagement short, and I wasn’t even sure how I could make it work. But as it became clearer and clearer how I would be spending my weekend, I knew, more and more, that I had to make this choice this way now, or forever regret it.

There was no other option.

Okay, in the key of E. Ready?

We’ll we are wasted Grove Rangers…

Mail Update: The Postcards bound for other parts of Salem Oregon arrived on the same day as most of the postcards I was sending internationally.

Keep in mind most of the rest of the United States had already received their postcards. In other words: I could have saved time and money, and delivered the cards myself. (Though with rising gas prices, it would probably even out, unfortunately.)
