The Second issue of The Cherry Picker zine is out today! Contains: show run-downs, an overview of the KMUZ Pledge Drive, a review of the new album by Moon of the Wolf, and an interview with Emma Pace Jonas, plus a whole lot more. (Basically: all the views.) I’ll be making deliveries today. If you would like one, let me know now, and I’ll add you to the list.

The Salem Oregon Podcast Symposium was so much fun. Thank you The Podchaost (Emma Pace Jonas, Dashiell Thompson, Chad Johnson & guests), and Cool Sheets (Karen McFarlane Holman & Brian Hart) for putting on great shows, and Vortex Remover for really kicking out the jams on Mid-Valley Mutations. And, of course, my incredible wife and co-host on The Capital Couple, Marla Rich, for making everything great, even after a robbery. I couldn’t do this without you. See you next time!

I’m really impressed. We are now available in 10 different locations here in Salem, and the overall response has been really cool. We’re almost out of our first print run, so pick one up soon if you can. If you would like one, let me know, and I’ll get one to you. Otherwise, here’s a page that has all the places we are available. Let me know if someone has run out, I’ll bring more.

For those of you who are wanting to pick up a copy of The Cherry Picker out in the wild, here is a list with Google Map Links (when appropriate). I’m very excited that you can pick them up now at Ranch Records – Cds, Lps, Vintage Rock Art, Dvds, The Book Bin – Salem, Beanery, The Governor’s Cup Coffee Roasters, Summer Street Little Library & Jori Zan’s Body Piercing for all carrying The Cherry Picker! That’s an excellent start, if you ask me.

While I only just now saw this version, this story might be one of my all time favorite Sci-Fi stories / movies. (The movie linked here was remade as the first episode of the US show, which is where I first saw it.) I think about some element of Max Headroom almost every day, and seeing new elements I’ve never seen before has been so much fun this week. Like some long lost summer from 30 years ago, where all I could do was obsess over this character.
