Every time I think I hate my job, I hear about the crap other people have to go through. It is astounding how poorly bosses and managers will treat other human beings. By comparison, my job seems pretty manageable right now. To all my friends who why it much worse: chin up! (And, take stuff from work! Now!)

I made some incredible thrift scores while we were shopping in Salem this weekend, which included “Head Hunters” by Herbie Handcock, and albums by The Residents, Perez Prado, Laugh-In, “Pardon My Blooper!”, and Dickie Goodman! (Among other things.) But I think these Star Trek fotonovels take the cake. In the ’70’s there were a number of companys that produced fotonovels in a variety of genres, and they sold extremely well until the introduction of the home video market. In the interim graphic novels have taken their place, and photography rarely plays into this kind of storytelling. A wonderful relic from a bygone age.
